By analyzing my physical and cognitive reactions in this situation, as well as my accustomed means of expressing my emotions, I have been able to reassess whether these methods are ultimately successful.When I discovered my roommates dishes in the sink, unrinsed and with the counters splattered with whatever shed eaten, I felt my temperature suddenly jump up about ten degrees. My heart started beating strongly. I cant say whether the beat was accelerated than it had been, but I suddenly heard it thumping in my ears which hadnt been the case a moment b efore. My ears seemed to begin to throb in time with the beat, introducing the very beginnings of a headache and I felt as if the entire top of my head was about to explode upwards through the ceiling. I was carrying something breakable, so I tried to put it down somewhere as gently as I could, still managing to crash it on the table harder than I should have. As I did so, I noticed that I didnt seem to be as completely in control of my body as Id hoped Id be. My hands were shaking and my mouth suddenly seemed full to bursting with no satisfaction unless opened. I remember a flash of thought of how my roommate had been plainly not doing her half of the chores for months now and an idea that this wasnt the first time Id come home to find dirty dishes in the sink when Id left it clean.
